About

I'm a systems engineer out of Georgetown, Guyana, currently a Senior Engineer at Veridos — a global identity & security solutions provider — where I handle technical operations across a portfolio of production systems: escalation, root-cause analysis, deployments, and mentoring the next tier of engineers. Before that: seven years in telecom and network infrastructure, building IoT telemetry pipelines and SMS gateways, and getting hands-on with GPON, LTE, and microwave links on Guyana's national broadband rollout.

Outside the day job I build full-stack software end to end — schema design, backend logic, the UI on top of it, and the Docker/CI pipeline that ships it. Recent work spans a multi-tenant marketplace with real-time dispatch, a full-stack real estate platform with its own lead pipeline, a members' portal with role-based access, an offline-first point-of-sale, and premium marketing sites built to match a brand system exactly. Same approach every time: understand the real workflow first, then build the smallest system that handles it correctly. I'm also partway through an MSc in Information Security & Digital Forensics, which is less a career pivot than making official what the day job already demands.

  • ›Docker-based deployments behind a reverse proxy, near-zero-downtime releases
  • ›CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) from commit to production
  • ›Root-cause analysis and incident response on live systems

03 // network-security

Network & Security

Network infrastructure, and a security-first way of building.

  • ›Network security fundamentals (Fortinet NSE); completing an MSc in Digital Forensics
  • ›Telecom infrastructure — GPON, LTE, and microwave link operation & maintenance
  • ›Fail-closed auth and least-privilege access as defaults, not afterthoughts

04 // iot-embedded-systems

IoT & Embedded Systems

Physical-world telemetry, from sensor to dashboard.

  • ›Single-board computers (Raspberry Pi) as protocol gateways — Modbus, MQTT
  • ›Real-time monitoring pipelines with alerting (Grafana)

  • ›API integrations that replace a spreadsheet, or a person doing it by hand

06 // brand-accurate-web-design

Brand-Accurate Web Design

Marketing sites that match an approved brand system exactly.

  • ›Pixel-accurate implementation from a design brief — not a template
  • ›Fast, SEO-solid static builds (Astro / Next.js)

Unified Guyana Market

Multi-tenant commerce & logistics platform

A four-sided marketplace built for the Guyanese market: shoppers, merchants, drivers, and platform operators, all coordinated through one real-time backend.

  • ›Customer marketplace (React web + Flutter mobile) with wallet credit, gift cards, and coordinate-first delivery for addresses that don't fit a standard geocoder
  • ›Merchant hub for multi-branch inventory, wholesale/weight-based pricing, and live revenue analytics
  • ›Driver app with background GPS telemetry, OTP/signature/photo proof-of-delivery, and instant dispatch over WebSockets
  • ›Admin console with live fleet tracking, wallet audit logs, and full actor lifecycle management
  • ›Atomic stock deductions at checkout to prevent overselling under concurrent orders

District Grand Lodge of Guyana

Organization website & private members' portal

A public website plus a members-only portal for a long-established fraternal organization in Guyana, run day to day by non-technical staff through a CMS — notices, events and pages get published without a developer.

  • ›Public site with a lodge directory, upcoming meetings shown in Guyana time, events, history, charity and leadership pages, news, site search, and an enquiry form that lands in a staff-only inbox
  • ›Members-only notices and documents, scoped to the whole district or a single lodge, with pinned and expiring notices
  • ›Role-based access (admin, editor, member): private files are served only after an access check, and the rules are pinned down by integration tests
  • ›Photo gallery that is members-only by default — publishing a photo publicly requires explicit consent
  • ›Deployed on Vercel + Supabase with migrations and seed data run on every build; the same stack runs locally in Docker

GRB Complete Wheel Service

Marketing website for a Georgetown off-road & suspension shop

A fast, dependency-free marketing site for an off-road tyre and suspension shop — built around a WhatsApp-first quote flow instead of a web form, so leads land exactly where the shop already works.

  • ›Custom SVG hero illustration of a pickup truck with a Stock/Lifted suspension toggle, done in pure CSS transforms with no animation library
  • ›Signature topographic contour-line motif and scroll reveals built on IntersectionObserver + CSS only
  • ›Stateless by design: no database and no mail server — the quote form opens WhatsApp with the message pre-written
  • ›Photo-slot system so the owner's own photos can be dropped in later without touching code, with a stock-photo fallback that's labeled as such
  • ›Host-portable through environment variables; ships as a Docker container behind Caddy on the same VPS pattern as this site, and also runs unmodified on Vercel

Retail Point-of-Sale System

Offline-first POS with inventory, invoicing & reporting

A point-of-sale system for a small retail shop that keeps trading when the internet doesn't: every device works against a local server on the shop network and syncs when it can.

  • ›Mobile-friendly checkout with tax, discounts, loyalty-point redemption, refunds that restore stock, and invoices/receipts for every sale
  • ›Inventory with auto-generated SKUs, low- and out-of-stock rules, suppliers and purchase orders
  • ›Finance dashboard with KPIs and charts over any date range
  • ›Push/pull sync with conflict rules per record type: sales are append-only, customers and products are last-write-wins, and stock stays server-authoritative

This Portfolio

Personal site — terminal-themed portfolio & interactive shell

The site you're on right now. A terminal/hacker-core personal site built to be a project in its own right, not just a list of them.

  • ›Interactive shell with real commands (try 'help') and a Cmd/Ctrl+K command palette for fast navigation
  • ›Live canvas network-graph background that waits for first paint before it ever touches the GPU, so it can't block load
  • ›Full SEO pass — JSON-LD structured data, sitemap, robots, OG/Twitter cards — plus a 95+ Lighthouse score across the board
  • ›3D-tilt project cards and scroll reveals, all hand-rolled with no animation library
  • ›Shipped as a multi-stage Docker build to a self-managed VPS behind Caddy — the exact pattern used for the client sites above
